Micah 6:8 *He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?*

The whole duty of man to God is the whole duty of the children of men to others.
Deuteronomy 10:12
*And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,”*

Our regular consciousness that God requires something of us is one of the most effective ways to please God.
From the president to the police, armed military forces, and health professionals, etc, every secular professional is guided by what is expected of him/her to the society.
He/she is guided by laid down ethics of profession. These spell out what is required of them.
When laid down directives and ethics are followed, there will be effective and efficient productivity.
2 Peter 1:3 tells us that by God's divine power, He has given us everything we need in order that we live a godly life.
By this understanding, we can not and can never achieve godly living if we fail in our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.
When moral directives are not followed from the heart, worthy outward observance is defeated.
Formal worship, observing regular gatherings, and active service in the vineyard are encouraged, but the principles of righteous conduct must not be ignored.
This is the utmost requirement for all people.
We must be guided in conduct to others.
Man's duty to God is man's duty to man.
We must actively live the word of God.
Remember, Rom 13:13 *Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.*
God is orderly, and it is required of us to humbly follow Him as directed.

There is no excuse for a life lived recklessly. There are already laid down guidelines concerning man's duty. Fear God and follow them.

Lord, help me to walk as required by You. Let me not walk astray, in Jesus name.
