*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*THE POWER OF THOUGHTS*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Jer 29:11
*For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
It does not matter what our thoughts are. God's thoughts are what would matter at the end.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
God teaches us the power of thoughts in this verse of the book of Jeremiah.
How thoughts, today, can achieve an ultimate fulfillment at a future date.
He teaches us how thoughts could go alongside the plan for a future, and the thoughts and fulfillment go side by side uninterrupted.
From all indications, this thought teaches us two things.
First, who God is.
The second is who we are.
We will look at the first today.
God's thought towards us reveals who God is.
It refers to His goodness to always have us on His mind and always thinking well of us.
His thought transforms into a plan to ensure we succeed from the start rather than wait until the end to see the results.
As far as God is concerned, 'what starts well must end well'!
Whatever comes your way will never derail the His thought or plan of *".....peace, and not of evil, ......"* for you.
Jeremiah wrote these words to God’s people who were in exile, reminding them what God promised them though they were in exile. Not only were they exiled, but it was God who sent them there.
God sent them into captivity in the hands of the Babylonians because of their persistent sins, 2 Kgs 17:6; 25:1-21.
The eventual travail in captivity because of their sins teaches us that what we face at times are of our own wrong doing, sometimes they are the work of Satan or sometimes they are just an effect of living in a broken world. However, there will always be an opportunity to know God is willing to forgive, remind us of His good promises, and is able to take us out of them.
What are your thoughts?
Are they aligning with God's thought for your life?
Guide your thoughts!
There is power in thoughts.
*Remorse corner.*
God's thought towards us to achieve an end refers to His divine and supernatural will to an unbreakable promise.
*Call to Word action.*
Prov 16:9 *A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Only God's thoughts and plans for us can make our thoughts and plan fulfill our expected ends
*Prayer.*
Lord, thank You for Your thoughts towards me. Please guide my thoughts in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
