.....SO GOD IS IGNORANT? (2)
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*....SO GOD IS IGNORANT? (2)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Kings 21:15-16 *And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.*
*And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
God may be quiet, but He is neither absent nor ignorant of man's deed.
1 Kings 21: 17-19 *And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,*
*Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.*
*And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession?......"*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
There are people who sin with knowledge.
There are two categories of sinners who sin with knowledge.
First, these are people who have sold themselves to evil.
1 Kings 21:25 says about Ahab and Jezebel, *But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.*
These category of wicked people do not know God, and the fear of God is not in them, Rom 3:18.
Second is the category of people who know the word but despise God. They defy God and make little or no respect for God. They started in the Spirit but ended up in the flesh, Gal 3: 1-3
Wilful sin is deliberate sinning knowing they are evil and there are consequences from man and God.
They are common among carnal Christians.
Heb 10:26-27 warns us against wilful sin. Heb 10:26 warns saying such peothe's sins are wilful because they sinned after they *"......received the knowledge of the truth,..."*
Heb 10:27 God says there was nothing more for them *"But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries*
To this end, their sins had reached a point of no return, and judgment is inevitable.
Wilful sin is inexcusable for judgment. In 2 Sam 12:9, God told David he had
*".....despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight?..."*
In other words, David despised the commandment that were to guide him away from sin.
Worst still about wilful sin is clearly stated in Heb 10: 29. A wilful sinner is one who has *".....trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?*
Peter condemned this category of those who wilfully sin, saying in
2 Peter 2:21 *For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.*
The above two categories are just as worse as hell.
God is not ignorant of your evil ways.
You may receive awards from man, but condemnation and judgment await you if you do not repent now.
*Remorse corner.*
Wilful sin is a spite on God. It is total disregard and disrespect to Him.
*Call to Word action.*
Forgiveness is available for wilful sinners but not without judgment, fiercy indignation, and a devouring of the adversary.
*The Christian clarion duty*
Heb 10:30-31 *For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.*
*It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.*
*Prayer.*.

God bless you.
