RELIEF OR REVIVAL?

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*RELIEF OR REVIVAL?*

*Scripture Treasure.*

2 Kings 6:9-10 ---►🔹 *And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.*🔹

🔹 *And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.*🔹

*Insight and Highlight.*

Many call on God to give them relief but not revival.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

In 2 Kgs 6:8-12, the king of Israel honored the warnings Elisha gave him, of the danger from the Syrians.

He however did not heed the warnings of danger from his sins.

We are often like this king. Many seek for relief from their troubles but do not seek a relationship that will bring a change and commitment to Christ.

All the king wanted was victory from God over the Syrian but not a relationship with God.

Asking God for relief from trouble is good but asking Him more, to revive you keeps relief longer.

Revival in your life will sustain relief.

What do you want from God?

Temporal relief or revival that will keep you awake to eternal destination in Heaven.

*Remorse corner.*

When seeking, seek for the source of deliverance, God Himself. Seek for the Kingdom first, Matt 6;33.

*Call to Word action.*

Jeremiah 29:13 ► *And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Relief is a temporary let off but revival in you sustains and makes your relief a permanent state of wholeness.

*Prayer.*

Revive me, O Lord, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
