*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*LEARNING FROM TRIALS.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Hebrews 5:8 *Though he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Are you going through challenges? Ask God what He wants you to learn from what you are going through.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Jesus learned obedience from the things He suffered.
While we see time and time again, how Christians then and now endured hardships joyfully, the Bible teaches us that trials and challenges can be a 'school' of learning
James 1:2 tells us *My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;*
Christians endure hardship joyfully not because they enjoy pain but because they know all will be well.
James 1:3 says *"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.*
They know God sees beyond our pains though we do not but if our patience is strong enough or has its perfect work we will attain perfection and complete at the end of our trials.
James 1:4 says *But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.*
We may not know when or how, our trials will end but we trust God and have a peace knowing He sees beyond the pain.
We must know that the Christian life is not a bed of roses or rainbow or butterflies.
John the Baptist and Jesus were perfect examples of how rough the Christian life can be.
It is an acceptable Jesus's teaching that we will face trials, Jam 1:2 and that we ought not be surprised when trials come our way.
However, a central point of trials is:
“What is God trying to teach me?” or “How can I use this to bring Him glory?
Not many people see what trials teach them.
All we see are the pains trials take us through.
Jesus learned obedience by the things He suffered. This teaches us that trials are training grounds for future glory!
What are you learning from your challenges?
*Remorse corner.*
Out of trials come testimonies.
*Call to Word action.*
Christ's humility, meekness and gentleness under oppression was a remarkable standard. We can take a cue from it.
Isaiah 53:7 *He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
David learnt from Christ's gentleness in his under trials.
Ps 18:35 *Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.*
*Prayer.*
Lord help me as l go through the challenges of life. Rather than question You, go through with me in order to come through for me in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
Shalom.
