*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*LABOURING MORE ABUNDANTLY (3)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

1 Corinthians 3:10 *By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Your abundant labor is the foundation someone will build upon.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Paul admonishes we lay a good foundation as devouted, committed, and hard workers.

Working and working rightly to produce efficient results may be all someone needs to start something in life as a Christian in the Lord’s vineyard.

We are a team, and God describes and expresses, among many other things, our Christian service in terms of a team.

In our Bible reading of today, Paul says he lays a foundation and others build on it.

There are two ways of a Christian team.

Firstly, we can build a foundation for others to build on, so we all finish well.

Secondly, an individual encourages another when he/she is committed, dedicated, and finishes well.

Your accomplishments will serve as an encouragement to others to follow. By this, you are teaching others that it is possible to finish a course of action in the Christian race in spite of its challenges. This achievement is a good example, and people can take a cue from your success and use it as a standard to compare.

Paul said he finished well.

The Christian race is a continual one. Here, finishing is not the final but the continuation of a race with the ultimate record of ever finishing not stopping halfway.

Someone must continue, from where someone stopped, with intentions to do more. Our latter must be greater than the former.

*Remorse corner.*

Our potential must increase, evidenced by high productivity.

*Call to Word action.*

A good finish is the result of hard work, a hard and well won battle.

2 Tim 4:7 *I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

A good finish usually depends not only on previous starters but also on personal and individual motivation to win and end well.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to work to build enough strong foundation for others to build on, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
