*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*JESUS THE PIPER (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Matt 11:17

*The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

We must be good proof of the good we preach to others.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

John the Baptist and Jesus justified themselves in the ministry they pursued and preached.

Though as the *"....children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,*

*And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented* the people ignored.

The piper did not stop but chose another tune. He did not stop until He was satisfied He had played all tunes.

John and Jesus refused to be influenced by the unjustified treatments the people gave them.

The people hated them though they were righteous.

We must always remember two beatitudes, among many others.

*Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.* Matt 5:10

*Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.*

*Rejoice, and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.* Matt 5:11-12

John was not a man given to appetite, but they said he had a devil in him. Neither did Jesus, was given to greed nor drunkeness.

Jesus teaches us here that what you did not do as a child of God, people will say you did it.

False accusations will lead people to reject what they ought to accept.

They did not dance to the piper's tunes because they had wrongly believed John was a devil, and Jesus was a friend to those who were unclean.

Jesus said to them *But wisdom is justified of her children.*, Matt 11:17.

From this statement, Jesus told them that the truth of what they preached or what John and Jesus came to accomplish would be judged by the fruit that would be shown in them.

If they failed to recognize Him as the Messiah, they would eventually realize He was truly the Messiah sent to deliver the people from their sins.

While they shouted that Jesus be crucified, Pontus Pilate said *"....l am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.*, Matt 27:24.

God's wisdom and fruit of righteousness were justified in the eternal destination of the thief on the cross who joined Jesus in Paradise.

The thief on the cross came to faith to prove that Jesus could save as a result of his wise decision to seek His forgiveness, Luke 23:43.

God's wisdom would be justified because people would come to faith as a result of their faithful actions.

1 Tim 2:4  *Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.*

Despite the fact that the people did not dance to the piper, He did not stop John and Jesus from accomplishing their God-given purposes and visions.

The proof of God's wisdom justified in His children is when His children dance to the tune as Jesus pipes.

Others may ignore it, but do not!

*Remorse corner.*

Not everyone dances to Jesus's tunes.

If we fail to dance to His tunes as He pipes while we are alive, there will be no hope to dance when the other tune is played.

*Call to Word action.*

Dance to His joyful tunes.

Ezekiel 33:32 *Indeed, you are to them like a singer of love songs with a beautiful voice, who skillfully plays an instrument. They hear your words but do not put them into practice.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

When Jesus pipes do not behave as if you did not hear. We all are open to the tune to dance and a tune to mourn. We were born to both.

Jesus will not pipe aimlessly. He always begins with a tune to joyfully dance. Dance along as He plays.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me never to ignore when You pipe joyful and celebration tunes in Jesus name.

Good morning, and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you.
