WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*IT'S MY LIFE?*
*Scripture Treasure.*Acts 17:28 *For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
*Insight and Highlight.*A major destroyer of a person's life is his resolve to conclude, barring all warnings, that 'It's my life. I can live it the way l want'.
*Scripture Commentaries.*No matter how clever you appear to be, you must know you need other people. No one is independent of others. At creation, there was a male and a female, Gen 5:2.The height of any person's destruction is when he does not have anyone he fears, and he does not listen to the Godly advice of others.*Prov 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.*We can deduce from this verse that a person who is not wise in his own eyes is a person who fears the Lord, and evil will be far from him.It is very dangerous to live in isolation.It is dangerous to refuse to seek Godly advice.Too many scriptures warn us about being wise in our own eyes. Is 5:21 says it causes sorrow and woe, 1 Cor 3:18 calls them fools, Is 47: 10 says they are secure in their wickedness, etc.For people who seek counsel from others, Prov 11:14 says, *"....in the multitude of counsellers there is safety.*From this pasage, it is clear God has providers counselors that can provide safety for us by way of their counsel.Lack of wise counsel is very dangerous.If God says two are better than one, it goes to explain that there must be at least one person you will have as a trusted aid and consellor.Do not run yourself to death by saying it is your life, you can live it whichever way you want.Remember, there is no one action, inaction, or misaction of one person in this world that will not affect another person.If you also accept that one person's carelessness can take the life of another one who is careful, then you should also accept that a careful life of someone can also help or save the life of someone on the brink of carelessness.It is not your life. It is God's!!Stop saying it is your life. You can live it the way you want. You are accountable to God.He is interested in how you live it.To refuse to heed to this instruction is to head for destruction.If you believe your life is in God, you will learn from Him and those He has sent to you!Change today and say, "The life l live is the life that depends on God. Identify a mentor.There is someone He has sent to you.
*Remorse corner.*Prov 3:5-6 *Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.**In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.*
*Call to Word action.*Prov 28:26 *He who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*Gal 2:20 *I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.*
*Prayer.*Lord, this life that l live is in You. Please help me, in Jesus name.
