.....IF I BE A MAN OF GOD....(3)

WISDOM FOR TODAY.

....IF I BE A MAN OF GOD...(3)

Scripture Treasure.

2 Chro 20:20 "......Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Insight and Highlight.

The voice of man becomes the voice of God.

Scripture Commentaries.

What makes the man of God's prouncement powerful by God's immediate response is that God's integrity is tied to it.

The integrity of God is at stake if God does not answer. He ordained His prophets, and He said in Jer 1:12 that ".....will hasten my word to perform it.

The voice of the man of God has become God's voice because God had lent His voice to him. It is not everyone who uses the phrase "...if l be a man of God..." that God honors or God considers His integrity at stake.

It is important that there is a connection and relationship with God.

Even the ass that spoke with a man's voice was the power of God on the animal. Numb 22:28 says And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

The man of God is not joking. He is under a divine direction. He is prompted by the Spirit and has to be so for God to honor it.

This phrase is not loosely used. Every step or move he makes, he is guided to do so.

Jer 1:9 says, "Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

While due honor is given us to believe that if a man is a true vessel of God, whatever he says has the backing of God regardless (1 Sam 3:19-20), we must honor God's sovereity by noting the following.

First, God remains the final authority to determine to honor or not.

Second, we must know that though the man of God may truly be provoked, he must respect the unction of the Spirit before he reacts, or else it may not be honored, James 1:20 says For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

This particular word of the Apostle James hopes to warn us to avoid overreacting when offended as we do not know if our anger will produce the righteousness that God desires. A good example is Moses in Numb 11:20-21.

Respect the mood of the man of God.

One thing for sure is that God loves them, and He favors them. He will not allow them to be down trodden, never! (Ps 105:15).

Remorse corner.

After God, the most fearful thing to avoid is daring God's most faithful men and women of God.

Call to Word action.

Zechariah 2:8 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

The Christian clarion duty.

You are an apple of God's eye. He keeps watching over you. Remain watchful also!

Prayer.

Lord, keep me as an apple of Your eye. Hear me when l call You, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
