GOD OUR ARBITER AND ADVOCATE
*WISDOM FOR TODAY*
*GOD: OUR ARBITER AND ADVOCATE.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Job 1:12 ► *And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.*
*Insight and Highlights.*
Satan is still roaming about looking for whom he will devour, 1 Pet 5:8. Watch and pray.
Psalm 11:2 ► *For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Job became a target of Satan's assault because of his uprightness.
Satan's target is and has always been, at the upright, like Job.
God knowing why Satan would appear among the sons of men, became an arbiter and with undisputable authority, put to rest any reason why Job would have to be deprived God's edge of protection.
Satan was consumed with ending a life of faithfulness but though power was given to afflict but absolute power was not given to him to determine Job's life and death.
Though power was temporarily given to him but not without God's supervision and authority.
Satan would only have a permissive role but not a perfect will or right to do as he wished.
Remember, your uprightness, love for God are not in vain. God rewards His own with abundance of goodness, Psalm 125:4 ► *Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.*
When Jesus, an arbiter, the righteous judge, an advocate acquits, all allegations or accusations are rendered void.
*Remorse corner.*
By God's arbitration, we are justified by His mercies.
Lamentations 3:22 ► *It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.*
*Call to Word action.*
We are daily faced by the accuser of the brethren, Satan, ref Rev 12:10.
We are made aware by this but not totally destined to be his prey.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Do not be a victim of Satan or his agents' assault. Are you tormented?
Call on God, our advocate.
*".....we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:* ► 1 John 2:1.
*Prayer*
Psalm 124:6 ► *Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.*, You will not be a prey for the enemy, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence today.
God bless you.
