*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE WORD BECAME FLESH.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 1:14

*And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God became fully human while remaining fully divine. God became a union of divinity and humanity in one Person, Jesus.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God is a Spirit, John 4:24, ref John 20:19-29.

Spirits do not have bodies or flesh and blood, Lk 24:39.

The Spirit's attribute of God teaches us that He is non-physical, we can not see Him, Exd 33:20, but God has eyes, Ps 94:9, and physical components that teaches us the unlimitless power of God to take the form He wants. He can not be limited in any way.

Though we can not see Him, He is not limited by anything or any way to reveal Himself through man who will come in His image and character, ref Gen 18, 32:22-32.

The limitless power of God to come or appear in any firm explains His divine act of coming in human form.

John tells us that God became human.

He embodied Himself in the confining body of humans through Jesus. He took on this human form to live among us as Jesus Christ.

God, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, slept,

Mk 4:36-41, Matt 8:23-27, Lk 8:22-25.

God who is not hungry, hungered and thirsted, Matt 4:2, John 19:28.

God who could only be saddened and provoked wept both for Jerusalem and Lazarus, Lk 19:41-44, John 11:35.

God whom no one has never seen was seen through Jesus, John 1:18.

God who could not be touched because He dwells in an unapproachable light, 1 Tim 6:16 was beaten beyong recognition, Isaiah 52:14.

He was touched by the woman with the issue of blood, Lk 8:43-48.

He touched people, and He walked among the children of men, Mk 10:16, ate with them, Lk 19:1-10.

God became flesh to teach us that we can live in the flesh yet not obey the desires of the flesh, 2 Cor 5:21

God punished Himself in Jesus, ref Isaiah 53:10

Jesus had two natures: fully divine and fully human, Lk 1:35.

God who can never die, died as Jesus in human form, Mk 15:34-37, Lk 23:46.

The divine person of God took a human body and experienced human life.

He knew what infirmities, sickness, temptation, etc. mean, Heb 4:15.

He came so that we could be like Him.

None of us has any excuse for sinfulness

We like to say that we “struggle” with sin when the truth is that there really is not any struggle going on at all. We always give over to the passions of our flesh ref Jam 1:13-15.

John writes to tell us that Jesus is God, John 1:1-2.

This is why you will not find any genealogy in his writing. Matthew's gospel, Matt 1, tells us about His genealogy teaching us that He came from chief sinners. This further teaches us of the mercies of God to save sinners.

Mark teaches us how God became a Leader- Servant to all.

Luke 1 tells us He was not born by the coming of Joseph and Mary or else He would have been born in sin.

Though Joseph was His legal father but he was not His biological father.

He was conceived of the Holy Ghost, sinless.

He acquired flesh through Mary because He was born of her.

Out of all leaders of religions all over the world, Jesus is not matched morally, and all have died and are no more.

Jesus died and rose.

By His death and resurrection, those who accept Him will be like Him, 1 John 3:1-2, to live with Him forever in Heaven.

Jesus came for you, do not let Him come back without rapturing you, ref 1 Thess 4:15-17.

*Remorse corner.*

God became flesh. He did not assume flesh. He was not compelled. He acquired it.

*Call to Word action.*

Jesus is God

John 10:30 *l and my Father are one.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

If you love God, you will love Jesus and accept God through Him.

John 14:6 *Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.*

Acts 4:12 *Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to know, serve, and belong to Jesus all the days of my life in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
