GOD OF SPEED, NOT OF RUSH
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*GOD OF SPEED, NOT OF RUSH.*
Ps 70:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. *Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Ps 38:22 *Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.*
God is a God of speed but He does not rush.
The bible speaks of haste in at least two ways.
First, a sense of urgency to get things done, not wasting time.
The psalmist in a desperate bid to receive answer, urged God to make haste. Ps 22:19 *But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.*
Ps 71:12 *O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.*
(see also Ps 70:5, 40:13)
Second, a sense of rush, without due dilligence or careful consideration, Prov 28:20.
A lack of careful thought before an action is taken or word is spoken, Ps 31:22. The wicked are hastily desperate to do evil, Prov 1;16
We can see from the Bible that we can urge God to answer us in a haste. If He does, He has done so after having carefully considered it is a good time for us and we can handle the miracle well.
Many have rushed and rushed themselves out of this world. Many, in order to take a short cut, have cut themselves short.
Whichever way we find ourselves with God, we must know He will not rush as humans rush to regret later with terrible consequences.
Remember, He is carefully working things out for you.
Ps 27:14 *Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.*
God is patient to deliver the best to you at His best time for you.
*Call to Word action.*
Job 14:14 *If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Be patient along with God.
