DOES GOD SEEM TO DELAY? (2)
Scripture Treasure.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Insight and Highlight.
God is ever preparing to stand against Satan.
Scripture Commentaries.
God loves you.
He loves us to the point that He made Himself man to die for our sins so that we may be in His likeness as He intended it at the beginning of creation.
When we pray, God says He is willing to hear, 2 Chro 7;14, Ps 65:2.
Jacob worked for Laban for 7 years because of Rachel. At the end of the 7 years, Laban told him he could not marry Rachael because Rachael still has an older sister, Leah, Gen 29:20-35.
Jacob worked for another seven years, after which he lamented.
Jacob, though, had Rachael now as a wife, lamented asking Laban "......when shall I provide for mine own house also?. (Gen 30:30)
Prior to this time, God had shown Jacob a dream. In the dream, God showed him how he would overcome and be prosperous working for Laban.
Jacob remembered this dream when he said in Genesis 31:10-11
“In breeding season I once had a dream in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted.
"In that dream the angel of God said to me, 'Jacob!' And I replied, 'Here I am.'
Without any doubt, Laban had been blessed by Jacob's hard work.
When Jacob told him in Gen 30:27 "......for I have learned by experience that the Lord hath blessed me for thy sake.", all Laban could say was
"....Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it."
God prepared Jacob through this dream, showed him a way to the miracle of prosperity, and how to secure it.
Gen 30:45 records Jacob's prosperity. And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
When the time came to suggest to Laban, Laban could not argue with Jacob.
Laban said in Gen 30:34 And Laban said, ".....Behold, I would it might be according to thy word."
One would have asked why this dream did not come to Jacob earlier.
Why did he have to go through all the toil of 14 years yet nothing to show forth until now.
There are times when God would not only want to prepare us for a miracle that is coming but also to prepare us for how we will defend and protect the miracle from possible attacks when it comes.
God saw that Jacob was now more mature and insightful to receive a miracle and he also knew how he would implement it successfully.
God will not want to give you anything just because you feel you are running out of time or you feel it is high time He did something.
Remember He says in John 14:14 "....if you ask any thing in my name, I will do it." This means to say, He is ready to go to any extent to answer your request,. Christ is saying 'your wish is my command'.
Christ is selflessly, unselfish, please wait for Him!

Remorse corner.
He may be holding on or delaying your request now until He is sure you are able and strong enough spiritually to put off any attack of the enemy when your miracle comes.
Call to Word action.
God is ever preparing us to be able to stand against the wiles of Satan.
He would rather be patient to deliver so that we are strong to resist Satan rather than quickly answer us for Satan to make us fall at the end.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The Christian clarion duty.
If God sees that we are not strong to resist the attack that would come as a result of the miracle He gives us, He may delay answers until we are strong enough to withstand the wiles of Satan.
Prayer.
Lord equip me enough to be able to sit at the table prepared for me in the presence of my enemy, in Jesus name.
