*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*DO NOT MISS CHRIST'S GRACE (6).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Titus 2:11-12
*For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,*
*Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Grace is available to all, both believers and unbelievers.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
By grace, we are saved, and once we are saved and remained saved, grace continues to work in the lives of believers.
This grace continues to work beyond salvation. There are God's gift of grace for provision for spiritual growth and service. Growth in holiness, the grace that sustains in difficult times, grace that strengthens to endure suffering and hardship, to do good works, the grace to perform good works for God, etc.
So when people say they are living by God's grace, they actually are because being alive is God's grace for provision for life whose primary source is the breath of God in us. By His breath, man became a living soul, Gen 2:7.
Paul says in Acts 17:28 *For in him we live, and move, and have our being;...."*
Of God's notable grace is also the grace to unbelievers.
God's enabling grace is not limited to believers.
Grace through Christ gives a measure of grace as a gift to unbelievers.
This grace is given so that unbelievers may be able to believe Jesus.
Titus 3:4 says *But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,*
John 3:16 tells us that God gave us Jesus so that we may believe
Titus 3: 6 says the blood of Christ was shed abundantly for us all. Titus says *Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;*
The blood was not only shed for us only who have believed but for the sins of the world. This means it is also for those who are yet to repent, ref 1 John 2:2.
Titus 1:11 tells us that this grace has appeared unto all men; meaning it has appeared to all people, both believers and unbelievers.
Everyone who receives this grace will be justified and will be joint heir with God, and the grace to sustain their salvation to the end is given
Titus 3:7-8 says *That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.*
*This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.*
Besides the grace given in salvation, there is the common grace also to both believers and unbelievers, but this time it is for God's general favour and provision for all people.
For example, He rains on believers and unbelievers, Matt 5:45. Nature's diverse blessings are provided through common grace.
It is important, however, to know that though there is a common grace enjoyed by all people. The common grace enjoyed does not guarantee eternal life, but only grace accepted unto salvation will give eternal life.
While both are out of His love, God knows those who are His, 2 Tim 2:19.
Only those who purge themselves from unrighteousness will be fit for the master's use.
2 Tim 2:21 *If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.*
Do not miss Christ's grace unto salvation.
*Remorse corner.*
There is grace that brings salvation, and it has appeared unto all men.
*Call to Word action.*
There is grace for life and nature's provision, and this is available for all men. It is called common grace.
Matt 5:45 *that ye may be the children of your Father who is in Heaven. For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
While both grace is from God and is free, the only grace that takes you to God's presence is the grace you accept unto salvation.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me not to disregard the grace that is unto salvation. Let me accept it in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and be blessed as you go in Jesus name.
God bless you.
Shalom.
