*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*A CHILD OF GOD DOES NOT SIN.(12)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

1 John 2:28

*And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

While some will appear before Christ in Majesty, some will be ashamed at His coming.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Titus says Christ will appear gloriously.

His visage and beauty that was destroyed at His crucifixion shall be transformed into beauty.

While His appearance will be glorious, it shall not be glorious for some people.

Titus admonished that we look forward to this glorious event.

Titus 2:13 says *Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;*

Solomon says righteousness keeps and sustains. He says in Prov 13:6 *Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.*

Solomon is saying that only righteousness could preserve the righteous to see and partake in this event, but wickedness will deprive the sinner who will see the event but will mourn instead

Those who practice righteousness will ultimately succeed, while the sinfulness of the sinner will be his undoing.

The sinful way of living offers the sinner no protection at all; the course of sin, unchecked through his life, will all the way lead to death.

John says all eyes shall see Him. This includes the eyes of those who crucified Him. Rev 1:7 says *Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.*

While the righteous would rejoice, the earth full of the unrighteous will mourn because of His appearance.

Why would they mourn?

They would mourn realizing their sin and guilt and anticipating the coming wrath.

So Christ's coming will be a mixture of rejoicing for the righteous and mourning for the unrighteous, but it will not take away the

gloriousness of His appearance.

If you fail to be righteous, you will not take the goodness and gloriousness of Christ away.

God will remain God, but you will be at the receiving end.

He says that regardless of whether or not you choose righteousness, it will not stop Him at His coming.

Rev 22:12 *And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.*

On judgment day, the unrighteous will face the judgment of rejection.

If you die as an unrighteous, you have denied Christ while you lived.

Luke 9:26 says *For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.*

All eyes will see those who are rejoicing, and all eyes will see those who are mourning.

It is a worldwide event that will happen at the same time it shall not be hidden but open to all.

While people may miss some live broadcast and breaking news today, everyone shall see when Jesus comes, including those who have died, ref 1 Cor 15:52.

Jesus tells us that there will be some who will be alive when He comes.

Luke 9:27 says,  *But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God*.  ref also 1 Thess 4:16-17.

Do not be left out.

Do not be like the Pharisees and the Saducees whom Jesus rebuked saying

*Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.* John 8:44.

Satan has nothing to offer anyone.

Solomon advises saying in

Prov 2:11-13 *Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:*

*To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;*

*Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;*

Do not be left out.

Do not sin!

*Remorse corner.*

A child of God does not sin. He does not make sin a habit. The moment he confesses and repents, he turns away from sin.

You can choose to be one today. You can confess and repent today, His return is at hand!

*Call to Word action.*

Christ came because of you and to destroy Satan for your sake.

John 3:8 *He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

You will be rejoicing at His second coming as a child of God, not mourning.

Keep yourself pure to the end.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me and let righteousness preserve me. Do not allow Satan or his wickedness to overthrow me from rejoicing at Your coming in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
