*A CHILD OF GOD DOES NOT SIN.(11)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

1 John 5:12-13

*He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.*

*These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

John says you can know where you are going after you leave this world. If you believe in Christ, you have become the righteousness of God and have eternal life.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

John tells us that if we do not sin, we will have eternal rest with Christ. So, not everyone we wish rest in peace does rest in peace unless they die in Christ.

1 John 5:12-13 are fundamental statements that inform us of the assurance of our salvation. This also means that if Christ comes today, you are sure He will take you to Himself.

If you believe Christ, you are not only Heaven bound, you will be in Heaven.

John tells us that believing in Christ is the true definition of life.

His statement in 1 John 5:12 tells us that not all who are living life has life worth living.

There is no life outside Christ. Though a person may be rich, there is nothing about the life he lives, and he will not be assured of living eternally with God if he does not believe in Jesus.

We always measure life by riches, and they are standards of measuring living. Anyone who is not rich or at least not able to meet basic needs is considered as someone who lives a wasted and a life without meaning.

Hardly would you find anyone who would esteem a child of God higher than the rich man.

John warns us against indulging in excessive dependence on this world to the point of forgetting the unreliability of life.

Lives of prosperity and poverty on their own are not enough to amend God’s ordained will that you *".....believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.*

If you know God created you, that you were birthed one day and that death will come to everyone, you should believe that when Christ talks about eternal life, He means it.

He who gave us life and takes it as He wills must be telling us the truth that He could give us life that He would not take back from us. This is eternal life. Life without an end.

John is requiring us to substitute a materialistic world with the spiritual without losing our values and responsibilities to ourselves, our households, and others, Gal 6:2, 1 Tim 5:8.

We only needed to be birthed to enter into this world, but we need a re-birth to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

We needed no requirement to enter into this world. The will of the flesh or the will of man, brought us, ref John 1:12.

However, we need to fulfill the requirements of eternal life. Eternal life will be those *".....Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."*, John 1:13. This is our salvation.

So salvation and righteousness remain the pass to heaven.

*Remorse corner.*

Those who are children of God are those who have believed in Christ. They would not want to sin against the One whom they believed in

*Call to Word action.*

Those who have life are not those whom we esteem have everything in life to enjoy. They are those who believe in Christ and have been made the righteousness of God.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

A child of God who does righteousness is in Christ's arms and is safe. Those who are not are in harm's way. They are in danger of eternal damnation.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to be in Christ's arms. Lead me, O Lord. Let me not sin against You in Jesus name.

Good morning, all, and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you.
