*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
Exd 5:2 *And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
There are people who say everything came from nothing.
There are people who do not believe there is God, Ps 14:1.
Anyone who says there is no God must be saying everything came from nothing.
There are people who do not believe or lack belief in the existence of God.
They are called atheist.
There are beliefs which are often divided between people who exist only in the name of a religion but do not totally believe in it, or those who believe in the fusion of all faith not believing in one particular one, or those who pretend and are lukewarm, etc. Unlike these categories of people, the atheist are committed to their disbelief in God. It is difficult to find a less than committed atheist.
To those who say there is no God, it is dangerous to deny His existence.
There is nothing that did not come out of something. Nothing can exist or come to life by itself.
Everything is sustained by something to make it what it is.
There are reasons that could help atheists to desist from disbelieving the existence of God.
We will mention three today.
First John 1:3 says God created everything. *Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.*
Col 1:16 *For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.*
Gen 1:1 says *In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.*
Before we came into this world and what we saw when we were birthed had already been in existence and will continue to be when we depart. How do you want to judge who created what had been in existence before you? You have no control over this other than to believe God!
Second is evil communication and association. You can be what you hear.
No matter how moral or well-mannered you are, you can be corrupted by what you hear and the people you are associated with, if you are careless, 1 Cor 15:33.
You must be careful of who you listen to.
Third, what we read, our way of thinking, philosophical reasoning, the human desire, and aspiration to be great thinkers and philosophers can affect the way we think of God.
Eccl 1:18 warns us *For with much wisdom comes much sorrow, and as knowledge grows, grief increases.*
Eccl 12:12 says, *"......Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh.”......"*
In our quest to be wise, we can become very foolish in the way we see God.
Rom 1:22 *Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools*
No human wisdom can make sense of God's command or directives.
Most times, or often than not, God's command does not make human sense , nor can the wisdom of man be wiser than God, 1 Cor 1:25.
That human wisdom you claim to have may suddenly depart from you, and you will remember nothing, not even yourself, 1 Sam 16:14-15, Dan 4:25-35.
God owns your brain, He owns your being and *..in Him we live,..* Acts 17:28.
Fear God, today!
Hope is not lost for those who say there is no God.
You can repent and receive forgiveness. God can restore you.
He fixes everything!
No matter how wise, affluent, and worldly recognized, if you do not believe in the existence of God, you are a fool.
*Call to Word action.*
King Nebuchadnezzar forgot God. He was driven away *"......from men,......"* and his dwelling was *".....with the beasts of the field....."* until he knew that the *"........most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.*, Dan 4: 30-37
*The Christian clarion duty.*
We must teach by words and the lives we live to show forth to unbelievers that God is alive and never ending.
Lord, help me to teach, live to show forth the power and existence of God, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
