*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*YOU CAN CHANGE THINGS (2)*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Matthew 5:17 *Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
When God changes old to new, He still remains the same God who makes things new as a way to fulfill the old.
The Ancient of days is new every day.
He makes changes, yet is unchangeable.
Changes may be inevitable, but we can still make or effect changes as a prospect rather than as a problem.
Change becomes a problem if we do not hope to achieve it as an opportunity to grow.
In today's world, change is violent and has resulted in perpetual problems over the years.
Jesus teaches us the most peaceful way to achieve change.
He teaches us that we can change from old to new, and there will be a transition that will allow the old to vanish away due to being outdated, decay, or obsolescence.
No stress or forceful violence for the old to disappear.
Hebrew 8:13 says, *"In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.*
Jesus did not make any change through violence. He did not destroy the old Testament law by revolt, He says in Matt 5:17 that He did not want us to think He had come to destroy the law and the Prophets but *"...to fulfill them.*
History may credit some violent uprising to swift changes of law, but it has left resentments that have not improved the course of history towards peaceful coexistence.
Many peaceful protests have turned violent, and many violent ones have resulted in painful and irreparable losses of valuable human lives. We are only left with painful reminders and commemorative plaques in honor of avoidable tragedies!
In a world that uprising revolution and rampage have taken priority over peaceful resolution, it has become very unpopular to make changes peacefully.
We must fight each other and trade insults before we can be heard or seen as brave ones. Any other way, we are viewed as weakling.
We can make changes following the examples of Jesus.
Violence has solved nothing. It may have solved temporarily, but its effect is badly unending!
The world will be a better place, if *'.....the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)*, 2 Cor 10:4).
Jesus predicted wars, Matt 24:6, but not as a solution or an indicator that the end has come.
Christ says we shall *....hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, but the end is not yet.....'*
This has made wars inevitable today. They are self-made and incited.
His word Matt 10:34-36 speaks about resentments that will stem from the gospel within our households. The gospel will set people against each other in our households, Luke 1:17.
Jesus brought peace, as the Prince of Peace, Matt 5:9, Is 57:19.
Do you want peace?
It is God's wish that peace be transmitted during change.
It is possible only in Christ!
We can pursue changes with peace as Jesus did.
*Call to Word action.*
*2 Cor 3:6 *Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
We can make changes through prayers. It may be unpopular, especially when your opponent is not pursuing the same way, but prayers have solved national issues while the enemy is pursuing carnal weapons, Esther 3-8
Lord, help me to make changes void of violence in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
