Acts 28:5 *And he shook off the beast into the fire, and he felt no harm.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

To be free from harm is not the absence of harm/danger but the presence of God's power of deliverance made manifest in harm or danger.

We are surrounded by evil everyday.

Jesus says *".....sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof"* Matt 6:34.

As everyday has its trouble so also the presence of evil forces to fuel the trouble.

As the barbarous people, natives of the island of Melita showed Paul and the people extraordinary kindness by kindling fire to provide warmth, evil presented itself in form of a venomous beast.

Paul, in his writing to the Romans illustrated the presence of evil when good is contemplated.

He says in Rom 7:21 *I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.*

In any situation or danger we find ourselves, let us always remember that the greater our weakness and trials as children of God, the more grace God will give to accomplish His will to deliver us.

Be of good courage, shake off that beast and you will feel no harm.

God will free you from all harm. You will feel no hurt in Jesus name.

Paul's experience remarkably illustrates Jesus's promise in Mark 16:18 *They shall take up serpents;....., it shall not hurt them;.."*

Luke 10:19 *Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

God could have removed the viper from posing danger to Paul, but He did not remove it so that the power of God may be made perfect and manifest in time of trouble, ref 2 Cor 12:7-10

*Prayer*.

Lord always let your power be made manifest in my life,. Free me from all harm, in Jesus name.
