WITHOUT GOD?(7).

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WITHOUT GOD? (7).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Ezk 8:17-18 *Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.*

*Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God was angrier with His people for sinning in His Temple because doing so will discourage people from coming to His Temple.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Hab 1:13 tells us that God's eyes are too pure that it can not behold or stand or tolerate evil.

The people of Israel made God angrier day by day.

They were not satisfied with merely doing all the disgusting things that God showed Ezekiel with spreading violence throughout the country.

They came and did them right there in the Temple and made God more upset and provoked Him the more.

By this rude boldness, they insulted God more in the most offensive way possible.

Not that their sins committed out of the Temple was not bad enough, It was a total disregard to God to disrespect the house called by His name.

Jesus said my house shall be called a house of prayer, Matt 21:13, Mk 11:17, and Lk 19:46.

God told Ezekiel that it was a light thing for Israel to sin outside the temple, but sinning in the body was sinning against oneself.

1 Cor 6: 18 *Flee fornication. Every other sin which a man doeth is outside the body, but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.*

Sinning in the body is sinning in the temple of God. So whosoever sins in his/her body is sinning in the temple of God who you are.

1 Cor 6:19 *What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?*

This story further teaches us how God can be most offended with dangerous and destructive consequences when His Temple is violated or desecrated.

God ultimately pronounced judgment saying, they will feel all the force of His anger. He will not spare them or show them any mercy. The people will call Him in prayers they will shout in prayers to Him as loud as they can, but He will not listen to them or hear them, Ezk 8:18.

What does it profit you, if God does not hear you?

Sin itself is crossing the line we ought not to cross. Sinning against God in His Temple is sinning to the point of no return.

There will be no more sacrifice acceptable to redeem you, Heb 10: 26-31.

It is offensive when you sin how much more when you sin to keep God and others away from His Temple. Ezk 8:3, 5.

Do not let people live without God by what you tell them or do.

Do not live without God.

*Remorse corner.*

Eli's children, Hophi and Phinehas, sinned so much that they brought it into God's house. God became irreversibly angry, destroying them along with their father, Eli, and the Ark was captured, 1 Sam 4:22.

*Call to Word action.*

You can not offend God and live, 1 Sam 2: 22-25.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Sin is inexcusable. You can not sin without God knowing. You can not hide from Him. He will be more upset if sin is brought into His Temple because such a thing will discourage people of Church.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me. Do not let me make people live without God or stray away from God.

Let me not be without God, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
