Ezek 8:4-8
*And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.*
*Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.*
*He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.*
*And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.*
*Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.*
*And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.*
*So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.*

Do not let Satan distract you from the Church of God.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Ezekiel painted a sad picture of terrible abominations in places claimed to be houses of God.
Ezekiel said he was sitting in his *"......house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell there upon me."* Ezk 8:1
While Ezekiel was attending to the elders of Judah, God was not at ease.
He appeared to Ezekiel in *".....a likeness as the appearance of fire:...."*
God took him on an 'air plane ride'.
He was lifted by the Spirit between earth and heaven.
In the words of Ezekiel, God wanted Ezekiel to see from this height as God sees. Ezekiel was brought *".....in the visions of God to Jerusalem,..."*
This gory scene that Ezekiel saw teaches us a few things.
First, nothing is hidden from God, though the people said to themselves
*".....the Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth.*, Ezk 8:12.
Second, the glory of God is present where God is, Ezk 8:4. The glory will not be where idolatry and abominations are present.
Third, every abomination provokes God to jealousy. Rather than God in the sanctuary, He was kept out by a *".....seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy"*. This image was "*.....the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north;..."*, Ezk 8:3
Fourth, there are many things we do not know until God reveals them to us.
God told Ezekiel that He is ever willing to reveal His glory, but the abominations of the people will keep Him out of His own house.
He said the great abominations the people of Israel were committing were enough for God to conclude the people did these evil *"......that I should go far off from my sanctuary?*, Ezk 8:6.
God told Ezekiel he had not seen anything yet. He wanted him to turn *".....yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations,* Ezk 8:6
God was not afraid to reveal there was a hole in the wall, Ezk 8:7.
There was a hole in the wall of the place people called a place of God. This tale of *".....the hole in the wall...."* was not intended by God to scare His people from going into His presence but is to serve as a warning that not all who claim to be of God are God's.
We live in a dangerous world, and Satan is manipulating in no other place than the church.
Beware of sanctuaries, tabernacle, churches without God.
The Christian and true warrior of God must pray in these perilous times, 2 Tim 3:1.
The Christian must protect God's sovereignty by equipping themselves to detect deception by Satan's agents, Eph 6.
Christ is still the Head of the Church.
You have to be with Him in His Church for you to conquer the gates of hell.
Do not be without God!

In spite of the enemies' deception, Christ is still in control and is Head of the Church. He knows His Church, and He knows His people, John 10:14, 27-28.

Col 1:18 *Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body......"*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
The enemies' manipulation and deception are means to discourage people from going to Church.
Do not allow Satan to take you away from the true Church of God.
*Prayer.*
Help me. Do not allow Satan to remove me from God's presence. Do not let me live without God, in Jesus name.
