Scripture Commentaries

The Apostle Paul's epistle to Timothy in 2 Tim 3:1- 2, tells us of the perilous times. As it was then so it is today. Paul warns further, saying For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.

As perverse and perilous the time was in Enoch's days, he walked with God.

The scripture tells us Enoch walked with God which indicates there were people in his generation that did not walk with God.

Enoch was in fellowship and obedience.

A life of total devotion.

There were distractions, there were people who discouraged, there were people who were lovers of themselves, there were needs he had to meet to sustain his family, yet he gave his life to total devotion to God.

One day, Enoch could not be found, because God took him.

As far as Enoch was concerned, anything to do for God was achievable.

Make room for God today!

Remorse corner

Enoch made room for two in his life: himself and God. God was all that matters.

Call to Word action

Will you walk with God? His command is still good, as of old!

Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

The Christian clarion duty

Enoch, Abraham, and a few other lovers of God walked with God, in the midst of a perverse generation. They were not discouraged.

What is keeping you from walking with God? What is your excuse? What will be testified of you?

Prayer

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Lord let it be a day-to-day testimony of me, namely: that l please You. Keep me focused

on You, help me to follow as You lead me in Your right path, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
