WHY GOD TESTS US

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHY GOD TESTS US.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Gen 22:1   *And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Why would God test us to know if actually we trust Him?

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God tests us to put us on our toes. To help us remain alert.

There is test of purity, test of faith etc.

Paul says *Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.*, 2 Cor 13:5.

Many ask: does God need to test us when He already knows all things?

Jer 17:10 says  *I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.*

We may often ask ourselves "Does God have to test us to know if actually we trust Him?

The Kingdom is about who will endure to the end, Matt 24:13.

Acts 14:22  *Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.*

What shall become of us or what we shall receive in eternal life will be determined by what and who we are now, Mark 10:30.

When God gives instructions, the grace to obey is already in it to facilitate our obedience. You only disobeyed because you chose to.

This is why John says 1 John 5:3, *His commandments are now grievous..."*

Remember, whatsoever test God will conduct about you will ultimately confirm what He already knows about you, John 6:6.

Mankind, left nothing to be desired of them when Adam and Eve betrayed trust.

Your failure to pass a test tells; you are not rooted. It is an issue of your inner being, your heart, ref Eph 3:16-18.

God never expected you to fail. It is not in His will that you fail.

You failed God's test, because you chose to.

After you have examined yourself, Paul says others will verify through trust that you have not failed the test, 2 Cor 13:6.

So we all have a role to play when God tests us.

If you have failed, you can commit yourself to a change.

God is only *"pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,....."*, Ps 51: 19.

*Remorse corner.*

King Manasseh failed God's order for the model kings should follow. When he repented. God forgave him. A person who repents of his or her sin will receive forgiveness.

*Call to word action.*

2 Chro 33:12-13 *In his distress, [Manasseh] sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. And when he prayed to Him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so He brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Sin deceives and hardens hearts.

When you are deceived by sin, sin will open more doors for it to multiply itself in your life.

To fail God's test and do nothing is despising Him. To fail, but do something is honoring God, Ps 51.

*Prayer*

Lord help me and let me find grace in time of tests and trials, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
