WHOSE WE ARE, NOT WHO WE ARE!.

*WISDOM FOR TODAY*

*WHOSE WE ARE: NOT WHO WE ARE!.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Ephesians 1:7 *In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Our identity is not in who we are but in whose we are and whom we belong.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

In the world system, many define and find their "true selves" identity through what they achieve. This is the world's set standard of determining who is most successful.

God wants us to have good success, but as children of God, we must think differently yet be success minded.

Who we are is not finding our true selves through what we achieve or attain in this life.

Whatever we attain in this life is only limited to this life. Only those achieved in Christ will have values both here and eternally, Mark 10:29-30.

It will be a disaster for one to be rich in this world and be poor and tormented eternally, bear this in mind (see the story of the rich man and Lazarus, Luke 16:19-26).

God wants us to be Heavenly minded, yet He does not want us to be earthly useless.

There must be a clear definition of whose you are and whom you serve. These two will determine your identity and who you are.

Who we are will get its identity in whom we belong.

Paul said he was what he was by the grace of God, and he said the grace was not given to him in vain. He further said that though he labored, what made him who he was, was *"....the grace of God that was with...."* him, 1 Cor 15:10.

Whom we belong will ultimately determine who we are.

We can not determine who we are without first determining whom we belong to.

People who choose to follow Jesus open their lives to Him.

They follow Him, and He makes His power available to them to prevent them from falling or failing.

Everyone must candidly ask him/herself these questions:

Whose am l or whom do l serve?

Whose am l or to whom do l belong?

Have you asked yourself these questions?

The Apostle Paul must have asked himself. This is because he said ,*"....for I know whom I have believed...."*

Do you know whom you have believed?

*Remorse corner.*

Who do you believe, Christ?

If you do, you will not evaluate your life and success on the abundance of the things you possess.

Luke 12:15 *And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.*

*Call to Word action.*

2 Tim 1:12 *For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Get off your high horse, be not arrogant!

You are who you are, not by any other way, other than in whose hands you are.

Be of Christ, remain in Him.

Praise the LORD for Him!

*Prayer*

Acts 17:28 *For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.*

Lord, l confess that in You, l live and move and have my being. Guide and help me because l am your offspring, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today, in Jesus name.

God bless you.
