*WISDOM FOR TODAY.* *WHOSE OFFERING/SACRIFICE?* *Scripture Treasure.* Lev 10:1-2---►🔹 *And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.*🔹 🔹 *And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.*🔹 *Insight and Highlight.* Every fire that comes from the LORD is the same fire but can have different effects. Lev 9:24 ---►🔹 *And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.*🔹 *Scripture Commentaries.* The fire that consumed the people's sacrifices to their utmost jubilation in Lev 9:24 came with a different a deadly effect in Lev 10:2. The fire was the same; its source was the same; on each occasion its purpose was the same,: namely to consume and yet its effect and result were different! Just because it is your offering, prepared for the Lord does not make it acceptable unto the Lord. Always check your hearts and motive when you give. In Exd 28:1, 41, Nadab and Abihu, two of the five newly-installed priests, had committed a most daring act of sacrilege and the people who had witnessed their commission also witnessed their most awful terminal punishment. Nadab and Abihu had presumptuously encroached upon the functions of the high priest. Only the high priest could burn incense in a censer ref Lev 16:12-13, Numb 17:11. Ordinary priest could only burn it on golden altar in the Holy place, Lev 7:8 They had offered the incense that the LORD had not commanded. Their acts must obviously have been contrary both for time and despatch. Wait for the fire of the LORD. It is the only fire capable of consuming your offering. No one can determine the destination of his/her offering but we know in Prov 15:8 ---►🔹 *The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.*🔹 Wait for the fire from the LORD. Offer unto the LORD with a cheerful heart, Luke 6:38, 2 Cor 9:7. To whom do you offer or sacrifice? If it is the LORD'S offering, leave it to Him, He will consume it to your joy and jubilation, ref Lev 9:24. *Remorse corner.* Whatever the LORD has not commanded cannot be supported by the LORD. *Call to Word action.* Their sacrifices were deemed as those brought *"....with a wicked mind...* Proverbs 21:27 ---►🔹 *The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?*🔹 *Prayer.* Lord, accept my offerings and sacrifices in Jesus name. Good morning all and have a blessed day today. God bless you.
