*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Kgs 1: 46-47---► *And also Solomon sitteth on the throne of the kingdom.*
*And all the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Without any doubt, after Prophet Samuel, Nathan was also one of David's most influential men. So also Jonathan must be held in high esteem. They were on the Lord's side trusted on God's promises, influenced people's lives, right where they were.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
It is often said that when God wants to bless you, He sends someone into your life.
It is also often said, if the devil wants to destroy you, he puts someone; an agent, a demon in human skin or spirit, into your life.
Wisdom is discerning who sent who.
After Nathan's timely intervention, Adonijah was dislodged and his rebellion was quashed. As one would expect, his guests and and co- accomplices and conspirators fled.
As Adonijah, was on the bad side, inciting some people to rebellion, so also was prophet Nathan on the good side building David and others to trust God and His promises.
The more people we encourage in the Lord, the less is available for Satan to discourage.
Who is on the Lord side?
*Remorse corner.*
Not that God could not fulfil His plans for Solomon. He often allows the activities of helpers to let us know we are interdependent. You need people as much as people need you.
*Call to Word action.*
By the faithfulness of one man, the destiny of Solomon was fulfilled.
1 Kgs 1: 46-47---► *And also Solomon sitteth on the throne of the kingdom.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Nathan was on the Lord's side. He brought others, awoke others to remind them of God's promises to Solomon.
*Prayer.*
Lord, bring someone into my life to help me to fulfil God's promises for my life, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
