WHEN TRUTH IS TURNED INTO A LIE (2).

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHEN TRUTH IS TURNED INTO A LIE (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Matt 7:22-23 *Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?*

*And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

True and the truth may appear to have the same meaning, but the two have become different words because of the hearts of the children of men.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Jesus warns us in the scriptures of how people will use His name to deceive people.

Today, people use the name of Christ to achieve selfish ends.

Instead of feeding the people in the name of Christ, they fleece them.

Jesus opened our eyes on how the truth about Him would be turned into lies.

Jesus said emphatically, not mincing words and very definitive that many will say they have done many things in His name. By His words in Matt 7:22, Jesus was saying it is true many will say many things they had done in His name, but the truth is that He never knew them.

Jesus says it is true people will say "Christ is here," but the truth is that Christ is not there.

This Jesus said in Matthew 24:23 *Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.*

Jesus said, *"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."* (Matt 24:5).

They will perform signs and wonders that will appear real or true enough to deceive the very elect, but the truth is, they are as false as their perpetrators, Matt 24:24.

This is why Jesus did not say you will hear what is true, but He said you will know what the truth is, John 8:32.

He further says l am the way, the truth, and the life, John 14:6.

Very unlikely will you hear the use of 'the' with true. What you will hear in our daily expression is the use of true without the use 'the'. lt is either 'it is true' or 'it is the truth'.

Jesus's expression that He is the true vine in John 15:1 clearly tells us that

Jesus is the ideal truth that makes the vine a living one, and in Him, the vine is fulfilled.

It is true there are many vines in the bible, but Jesus is *'....the true...'* 'the truth and truthful' vine.

It is God's will that everything true is the truth, but the children of men may say what is true but not live the truth in the fear of God. *'......They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.* (2 Thess 2:10).

*Remorse corner.*

Jesus is the ideal truth, of which the natural vine, the natural bread, the natural water, and all nature find fulfillment.

*Call to Word action.*

There should be only one difference from the spirit of truth, and this is the spirit of error. We must refuse and rebuke those who turn God's truth into a lie!

1 John 4:6 *We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Proverbs 14:5 *An honest witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, please help me to walk in the truth. Let me be true and stand with the truth of God, in Jesus name.

Good morning, all, and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.
