WHEN FRIENDS BECOME MISERABLE.....

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHEN FRIENDS BECOME MISERABLE.....*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Prov 18:24 *A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Friendly makes many friends, but many friends do not guarantee true friendliness.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Solomon tells us that when someone is friendly, he can make many friends.

So, being nice to people could make you be their friends. A good attitude to people makes many friends.

He, however, warns that too many friends could bring one into ruins.

This tells us that there are friends who may take undue advantage of your kindness, generosity, or possessions.

Looking closely at this, we can see that many friends do not guarantee true friendliness and friendship.

In other words, friendly companions may be many , they may rejoice with you at celebrations, but they are not your coverings or are not your 'clothes' as some people refer to them.

Job had friends whom he later referred to as miserable comforters, Job 16:2.

Their words brought no comfort to Job. They added more to his ruins.

It tells us that not all friends bring joy.

Some have no real compassion to offer. Some are miserable, causing sadness, sorrow, and discontentment.

It must, however, be known that friends do not have to be many to cause you ruin.

There are some friends, when you have them you do not need an enemy.

What kind of friend are you? Which kind of friend are you? Hale or miserable.

*Remorse corner.*

As good as many friends could be, one could still come to ruin. There is, however, a friend who will stand with you thick or thin. True friends are known when you are going through problems.

*Call to Word action.*

A friend who neglects to show pity to his friend in trouble does not have the fear of God.

Job 6:14 *To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

As friendly as you are and as many friends you make, ensure you set boundaries.

*Prayer.*

Lord, send friends who have the fear of God to me in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
