WHEN CURSES ARE REVERSED (3)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHEN CURSES ARE REVERSED (3)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Galatians 3:13  *Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

If God be for you, there is no curse that will remain irreversible. Live to please God.

Only a life lived outside God is dominated by curses.

1 Sam 2:25  *If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him?*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

How do curses come?

The origin of curses can help us determine how to overcome it.

First, God can curse, if there is sin. Of a truth, sin is the door through which curses come from, Gen 3:15-19, Deut 28:15-68.

Do not fall under God's curse.

Second, the law can bring a curse

Under God's law, if someone is found guilty of a capital offense thereby put to death and his body is exposed on a pole,

he must be buried the same day. The body must not remain on the tree overnight. This is *"...because anyone who is hung on a tree is under God's curse.* Deut 21:23.

The Roman law under which Jesus was sentenced, crucifixion was the penalty.

Just as the Roman law violated God's law,

there are laws that violate God's moral laws, today. These laws bring people under God's curse. So the law can bring a curse when it not enacted on moral principles.

Third, we can contract curses through the family we marry into, business associate/patners, the environment we find ourselves. Our successes may be influenced by such spells. For example some people who found themselves in Jericho were subject to the curse in in the land until they cried to Elisha, 2 Kgs 2:19-20

There is however good news for the child of God.

The Apostle John tells us in 1 John 5:19-21b saying *"....the whole world lieth in wickedness.* He however first reminded us that we must always *"...know that we are of God, ..."*

1 John 5:19 *And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.*

From John's writing we can see that there is no place you will find yourself that will be battle free because the world lies in wickedness. There is a battle to fight every day because evil presents itself daily, Matt 6:34.

Be not afraid, however!

Whichever situation you find yourself, for as long as you are on the Lord's side and He is on your side, no curse of any kind or from any source will remain irreversible.

You, by the power of His might, can reverse the irreversible.

*Remorse corner.*

Live to please God. Only curses from God are irreversible by anyone. If, however, the offender repents, God can show mercy.

Any other form of curses are reversible through the Spiritual weapons available to the believer.

*Call to Word action.*

2 Cor 10:4-5 *(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)*

*Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Psalm 27:1 Psalm of David.

*The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?*

*Prayer.*

Lord help me to overcome and subdue any curse or evil that presents itself in my life, in Jesus name.

Good morning all
