*Scripture Commentaries.*
Jericho had been under a curse from the days of Joshua. Joshua had spoken two curses on Jericho but exempting Rahab the harlot.
First in Joshua 6:17: *And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.*
Second in Joshua 6:26 *And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.*
The curses continued till the days of Elisha.
A man called Hiel in the days of Ahab rebuilt the city and the gates at the cost of the lives of his two sons, 1 Kgs 16: 34.
The curse was permanently reversed by Elisha.

Today, history records Jericho as the oldest city in the world and as a city with the oldest known protective wall.
The leaders of Jericho sought the Lord during the times of Elisha (2 Kgs 2:19) and God reversed the curses through Elisha and this explains the existence of Jericho today.
Have you sought the Lord over those long existing problems?
*Remorse corner*
When we humble ourselves and seek divine intervention, God answers and restores.

*The Christian clarion duty.*
The heart cry of the men of Jericho to Elisha ended many years of long curses on the land. Have you cried to God concerning that long standing problem?
*Prayer.*
Lord remove all curses in any place, land or environment l find myself, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
