Prov 18:24 tells us that *A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.*

There are times in life when your destiny helper is not a relation while your brother, your relation, is a destiny destroyer.

The Apostle John identified himself with us as a brother in Christ.
Also, while David and Jonathan's souls were knitted though no relations, there are brothers of the same biological extraction who are arch enemies.
Proverbs 18:24 tells us a little bit more.
This is that a friend of no relation can be better than a blood brother.
In other words, the brother Prov 18:24 is referring to is someone whom you are related to by blood but whom a friend of no relation can serve as a helper to your destiny than he could.
Here, an outsider friend takes over as a caring brother whom John was in Rev 1:9, while a brother related to you may be described as one who cares less for you.
This is very common, and it did not start today.
There are blood brothers and sisters who hate and kill each other. In some families, there are strong hostility and sibling rivalry.
True, sincere, and perfect love is not dependent on blood or kinsmamship. In fact, relationships could be worse within families.
Only those whom God sends to you are destiny helpers. They could be family members, though. They could also be strangers.
You need a friend with the heart of a Kingdom brother.
A friend becomes a brother when he has a Kingdom heart.

David's friendship with Jonathan was more than what any of Jonathan's brothers could give him

David became a friend that stuck closer than a brother.

Ask God for a friend who sticks better than a brother.
Remember, *.... better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away.* Prov 27:10.
*Prayer.*
Lord, in my time of need or trouble, send me a neighbor that is near than a relative that is far, in Jesus name.
