WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR?(2)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR? (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Deut 34:4-5 *And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.*

*So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Moses knew the nature and person of God.

Psalm 103:7 *He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Moses stands as one of God's great leaders whom God stood on his behalf to defend and proclaim him with a distinctive nature and person of God, Numb 12:1-8.

The following shows Moses' distinctiveness:

First, God said of him that when Moses spoke *,"....the similitude of the Lord shall he behold:...."*, Numb 12:8

Second, God Himself took over the body of Moses, and nobody knows his sepulcher till this day, Deut 34:6.

Third, though it was not mentioned how old Samuel was, Moses stands as the longest living of God's most great leaders of His people in the Old Testament.

Though very old, he was in the able body of a young and healthy man, Deut 34: 7.

Fourth, his legacy outlived him. Joshua, his successor, led the people as if Moses was leading them. His spirit lived on, his law lived on, and there was hardly any word spoken by Joshua that Moses' words were not relevant, Deut 34:9.

Fifth, though he was not allowed to enter into the promised land, many years later, he appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration (along with Elijah), and he spoke with Jesus) Matt 17:3,

Sixth, he is known as the law, John 1:17 and distinctively high rated as a prophet whom *".....the Lord knew face to face*, Exd 33:11.

No terror of the Lord was more shown through a prophet than that showed Moses *"...to all his land."*, Exd 2-14, Deut 34: 11-12.

This is a reminder and assurance to every faithful believer that there is no person committed to God that will be denied His presence and grace.

When you are faithful to God in life, God will honor you. In death, He will immortalize you here on earth and also gives you eternal rest with Him.

What a great God we serve!

*Remorse corner.*

That God could decide not to make known to anyone where Moses was buried showed God's commitments to and endorsement of the great leader.

*Call to Word action.*

Moses' great distinction was his intimate fellowship with God.

His understanding of the nature and person of God was most remarkable.

He was the only mortal to be with the Lord and *".....he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water..."*, Exd 34:28.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

He is unforgettable, just like every other God's fearing prophets yet with a clear distinction.

Deut 34:10 *And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, let me grow with an intimate fellowship with You and with the understanding of the nature and person of You, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today

God bless you.
