*WHAT WERE YOU CREATED FOR?*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Rom 9:17

*For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

People change from the original plan of God for their lives.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God created you for His glory. He raised you

to fulfill His divine will and purpose, but some people change from the original plan of God for their lives. Power, position, wealthy, and self ambition are all avenues through which people change from God's original purpose and plan.

God told Moses that He will yet bring one more plague upon Pharaoh and Egypt and this time "*....all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts."*

*".....there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more."*, Exd 11:5-6.

As for the children of Israel, no death shall come to them.

God did this so that there will be a difference between the Egyptians and Israel, Exd 11:7.

He sounded a note of warning to Moses that Pharaoh would harden his heart still.

People's rebellion against God did not start in our days. It has been so time immemorial.

There are still many spirits of Pharaoh around today. In spite of this terrible plague coming upon Pharaoh and Egypt, Pharaoh did not repent. God did not unilaterally drop the last plague, He warned of its coming, told Moses to tell Pharaoh, and Pharaoh was told when the plague would take effect.

Pharaoh, just like in the previous nine plagues, did not believe until the plague struck, after which he came to Moses for resolution.

Yet again, nine times, God stayed action after each of the plagues, yet Pharaoh went back to his original default setting: his hardened heart, bold disobedience, and defiance of God.

This time, the last and tenth plague must come. There will be no more but this last one and there will be a great cry in the land.

There will be no opportunity or the power of successive firstborn of the king that *".....sits on the throne...."* The power of the firstborn was forever gone. The beginning of the strengths of every household and beast was gone, Ps 78:51.

This plague finally brought Pharaoh down and out because God said it would and that it was for this reason that He raised him and allowed all the signs and wonders in Egypt, to show him and so that Pharaoh may know how powerful God is, ref Rom 9:17.

While all that God creates are good, always, there are those He creates but have chosen to make themselves *"....vessels of wrath fitted for destruction..."*

Just as God dropped nine plagues, yet Pharaoh was unmoved, showed how God had *".....endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:"*

Pharaoh has resisted God's will, Exd 5:2, Rom

9:19.

He replied against God ten times, Exd 5-12, Rom 9:20. Pharaoh questioned his Creator. He had made God, his porter (Jer 18), to be the clay.

Pharaoh had striven with God (Isaiah 45:9). Therefore, God hardened his heart because his heart was already hardened.

God "*"...willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known,...."* allowed Pharaoh who had resisted God's will to be a vessel unto dishonour, ref Rom 9:17-22.

While eleven disciples were chosen for redemption, Judas was chosen for destruction, John 17:12.

While other vessels were made unto honour, Pharaoh chose dishonor and God, the porter, who will not strive with any man (Gen 6:3), endured him but had no choice than to destroy him.

God is enduring many people, but there is a limit to His mercy, Rom 9:18, and there is a limit to His long suffering, 9:22.

Many resist His will, Rom 9:19, strive with God their maker, Rom 9:20 and many whom He had made good choose to be bad, so they become vessels unto dishonour, Rom 9:21.

If you know why God created or raised you, you will not strive with Him.

What were you created for?

In what way have you drifted from God's plan for your creation?

What were you raised for?

*Remorse corner.*

While God tells us why we were created, it is important to know what you have chosen to be, whether to remain as God planned it or to be in rebellion against His plan for you.

*Call to Word action.*

People take the place of God by striving with Him. This is why they will suffer for what they could have prevented. They will lose what they could have saved and will not appreciate what they have until they have lost them.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

While God endures for all His creations in His long suffering, there are some He would no longer endure but judge and destroy!

You can choose not to be one of them.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to know and realize why You created me. Let me live and know You raised me for Your glory, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
