WHAT REWARD WILL YOU RECEIVE AS A BELIEVER?

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHAT REWARD WILL YOU RECEIVE AS A BELIEVER?*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Philippians 4:1 *Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

There is laid up a Crown for every believer in Heaven.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

In addition to making it into Heaven, there are rewards for every believer. This is to recognize and appreciate our faithful service to Him.

Christ is the rewarder, Rev 22:12, and the rewards are in the form of Crowns, ref 2 Tim 4:8.

There are no rewards for the unbeliever but woes, agony, and condemnation to hell. Their reward is hell. A negative reward of curses, condemnation, and damnation.

We have seen that not all believers will receive rewards, yet they will make Heaven. 1 Cor 3:15 says some will suffer loss but shall be saved.

Today, we will look at the different types of rewards in the form of Crowns for believers

There are seven Crowns.

First, Crown of Glory. Prov 4:9, Is 28:5, 62:3, 1 Pet 5:2-4. For shepherd of flock with a royal diadem.

Second, Crown of Life for those who persevered and overcame in trials, Jam 1:12, Rev 2:10.

Third, Crown of Victory, Rev 6:2. For those who *".....went forth conquering and to conquer...."*, Rev 6:2.

Fourth, Crown of rejoicing/joy. 1 Thess 2:19. A proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when He returns.

Fifth, Crown of gold, Rev 4:4, Rev 4:10.

Sixth, Crown of Righteousness. Those who held on to holiness in the midst of a tempting and corrupt world, 2 Tim 4:8.

Seventh, Incorruptible Crown,

1 Cor 9:25. Imperishable, resilient believers who faced death yet overcame torture and survived. The Apostle John is a perfect example among others.

Some believers are currently eligible to Crowns but may lose them if they lose their commitment, dedication, and faithfulness.

In Christ's letter to the faithful Church in Philadelphia, Christ admonished them to hold fast to their faithfulness so that they would not lose their crown, Rev 3:7-13.

In Rev 3:11, Christ wrote to the Church in Philadelphia *Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.*

What will be your Crown of Reward in Heaven?

*Remorse corner.*

Will you be wearing a Crown in Heaven?

*Call to Word action.*

2 Timothy 4:8 *Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me on that Day — and not to me only, but unto all those also who love His appearing.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Christ's letter to the Philadelphian Church in Rev 3:7-13 tells us the importance of finishing well. When you finish well, you have held fast to your Heavenly Crown, Rev 3:11.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to hold fast to my Heavenly Crown. Let me not be in Heaven without a Crown, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
