*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*WHAT IS YOUR WEAKNESS?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Judges 17: 19 *And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Samson's weakness turned his strength against him.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Christians are on daily warfare with the enemy. The enemies are always at our gates, watching our in and outs.
As God keeps watch over us, they instead lurk around us, they hide themselves watching to take our lives.
Psalm 56:6 says *They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.*
How secure we will be depends on how we submit ourselves under the shadow of God's wings and how well we cooperate with God.
Remember, you can not overdo carefulness. Do everything within your power to stay focused. Christian can be careless and carnal, if adequate care is neglected.
Some if not most, Christians are not wounded, killed or captured by weapons and arms of war but by arm of flesh.
The story of Samson tells us that he was not captured by the force of arms but by the softness of Delilah.
He was captured by the ruthlessness of his enemies. He prayed to die with his enemies.
When we lose focus, we end up in the hands of the enemy.
What is your weakness? What are your weaknesses?
Work on your weakness(es).
One weakness is enough to drown a careless believer.
Ask God to help you.
*Remorse corner.*
Samson's strength became the target of the enemy.
*Call to Word action.*
Judges 16:17 *That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
