WHAT IS GOD COMMANDING YOU? (2)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*WHAT IS GOD COMMANDING YOU?(2)*.

*Scripture Treasure.*

Lev 10:1-2 *And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.*

*And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

An apparent manifestation of an anointing can be the working of Satan

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Lev 10:1 tells us that there can be a manifestation that appeared acceptable to God, yet is not.

Nadab and Abihu were two of the five newly-installed priests, Exd 24:1,28:1

They were a divine manifestation of God's acceptance, and their choices were connected with the institution of the priesthood.

Their calling was distinctive, and they were invited to accompany their father, Aaron, and uncle Moses in the presence of God.

Clearly, the main reason is that God did not command them.

Lev 10:1 says the Lord *"....commanded them not.*

These made their sacrifices unacceptable.

God commands offering, Exd 35:4-5, 2 Cor 16:2, and He has directives for everyone of His children who offer, 2 Cor 9:7. He encourages sacrifices behind an offering, Mark 12:41-44.

The story of these two sons of Aaron tells us of how it is important to realize God's command to us.

Not everybody, in whose presence these sacrifices were made, knew if God had commanded Nadab and Abihu or not.

This was between Nadab, Abihu, and God.

The order of the priesthood is that God commands and they follow.

As we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, the same applies,1 Pet 2:9.

It tells us we all have a personal relationship with God as His children called and chosen by Him, just as Nadab and Abihu were called, and so we should expect a personal contact or communication from Him.

Giving to God must be done God's way.

It is the most profitable way to receive from Him

It was important for these men to wait for God's direction and followed as God commanded.

They chose to go ahead, but God had a different result for them.

Do not presume or assume sacrifices to God. Sacrifice as He tells you.

What is God commanding you?

You will reap His profit.

*Remorse corner.*

God leads, and we follow.

*Call to Word action.*

Leviticus 9:23-24 *And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.*

*And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

When we follow God's directives, His fire will consume our sacrifices and open His blessings to us. Gen 4:4.

*Prayer.*

Lord, let me follow as You direct. Let You consume my sacrifices to Your satisfaction and pleasure, in Jesus name.

Good morning, all, and be blessed as you go today.

Gid bless you.
