*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*VICTIMS OF DANGEROUS OPTIMISM.*
Scripture Treasure.*
Matt 7:6-7
*Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.*
*Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
When we fail to see, ugly becomes beautiful.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
When we fail to see, we look at danger as an increasing possibility of safety.
People who fail to see cannot see right.
They cannot walk by faith but by sight.
When we fail to see, we will not see right
People are victims of dangerous optimism when they see danger and destruction yet they defy all warning and end up victims.
The tragedy of human nature's is failure to see.Matt 7:3-5.
One of many major contributors to dangerous optimism is hypocrisy, failure to see ourselves the way we should and willing to seeing others the way we wish to see them rather than how God sees them.
By this we become a danger to ourselves. We become so to others thereby distracting them from their God given mandate for our lives.
We must seek to defeat everything that hinders us to see right.
There is no way you can see rightly if you do not see right.
When you know evil is wrong and can differentiate it from good, you have seen right. When you know the grave consequences of your actions, putting others in your shoes, thereby leading you to abstain from it, then you have seen rightly.
Given both ways, follow the right and God's way, let your right be right with God.
Remember, it may look optimistic but may not be good optimally, Prov 14:12.
Do not be a victim of dangerous optimism!
*Remorse corner.*
Evil has since existed. To think it is no longer there, is dangerous optimism.
Look inwards, ask God that you may see so that you may see rightly.
*Call to Word action.*
Mark 8:24-25 *And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.*
*After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.*
