*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*UNDERSTANDING PROPHECY (9).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Cor 14:10 *There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
What God is saying must be the same as you are hearing.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Paul warns us of *"....so many kinds of voices in the world......"*.
He further tells us that *"...... none of them is without signification.* In other words, every of these voices has its impacts and influences, 1 Cor 14:10.
Paul teaches us that as much as we know God speaks, there are strange voices, especially of Satanic origin.
The one who hears from God must make sure he is hearing from God, not Satanic voices.
Let us look at Satan's voice today.
God has a voice, and so does Satan.
There are a few examples that tell us that Satan has a voice.
He spoke to Eve in a voice of deception, Gen 3:1-5
Job 1:7 tells us that Satan talked with God when God asked him a question why he was among His people.
*"Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it..*. Satan further answered the Lord in Job 1: 8-11.
Matt 4 tells us that he had a conversational temptation with Jesus, Matt 4:1-10. In Matt
4:1-10, Satan quoted from Psalm 91:11-12 while tempting Jesus.
This teaches us how Satan can manipulate God's Word for his own purpose, making it appear as if it were God speaking.
It teaches us that Satan can quote the scriptures.
James 2:19 tells us *Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.*
The children of God must not be ignorant of this verse about Satan.
James teaches us here that just because people know there is God or fear or tremble before Him is not evidence of accepting His Lordship. Their fear does does not translate into repentance or salvation.
Good work is not God's work!
People may fear God because they are afraid of His anger but may not be willing to be under His Lordship.
We must know that though a verse or quote is scriptural but we must ask how well the verse propagates God's word. Does it distort or confuse the true meaning of God's will in order to lead one astray?
The child of God must raise his spiritual antenna and must spiritually scan his environment.
He must be vigilant and cautious, attentive to the Spirit and discerning, not believing anything but understanding everything by open-mindedness and a cautious approach that requires verifying information before accepting it as the truth, ref 1 John 4:1.
Whose voice is the prophetic voice?
God's or Satan's?
*Remorse corner.*
Becareful, Satan has a voice.
*Call to Word action.*
He speaks to people and may disguise as if it were God who speaks.
2 Cor 11:14 *And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Satan quoted the scriptures but with the intention to lead Christ astray. Jesus gave Satan the true meaning of the scriptures he quoted .
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me. Please do not let Satan use Your word that should show me the way to lead me astray. Let me delight in Your word. Let me read, study, and meditate Your word, in Jesus name.
Good morning, all, and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
