TURN TO TRUE REPENTANCE (2)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*TURN TO TRUE REPENTANCE (2).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Jer 4:23 *l beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

There are present and eternal punishments if adequate repentance is not made to God.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The prophet Jeremiah foresaw, in a vision , the utter destruction and devastation coming upon the erring people of the nation of Judah. The destruction that will fall upon them will just be as the same formlessness it was in the beginning before God began to shape the world, Gen 1:2.

This tells us that God can make the earth desolate while it yet exists (Deut 28:23). He can refuse the land to yield its increase, Lev 26:20 though it has the ability to yield, Ps (67:6)

Before the Babylonians invaded Judah, the Bible describes the forthcoming desolation of Jerusalem with a warning in Jer 6:8 that God will make Jerusalem desolate. Jeremiah warned saying in Jer 6:1 *"...flee out of the midst of Jerusalem...."*. Jerusalem's ultimate destruction and desolation were fulfilled in Jer 52.

We must be careful in order not to live on a earth which is void and without form while the God transformed earth is still in existence.

If any conforms to attitudes and conducts that cause God grief, such person is asking for a life void and full of rigor.

Today, people flee from nations because of war, starvation, oppression, totalitarian dictatorship, economic sanctions etc.

Nations have broken into smaller nations, some are no more in existence or have undergone change of names.

To these people and nations, life on earth is meaningless, is void and without form until succor is provided them.

Sins of individuals, nations have made life tough here on earth. If people and nations turn to God, His judgment can be averted,

However, if people do not turn their hearts in true repentance to God, people can be dosolate and nations uninhabited, Gen 18:23-32.

Such people, when they remain unrepentant, greater punishment awaits them eternally.

Turn in true repentance to God while you yet live.

Turn to God today and live now to live eternally with Him.

*Remorse corner.*

Earthly punishment can be averted by true repentance. Eternal punishment remains irreversible if true repentance is not done while the soul is still alive.

*Call to Word action.*

Mark 8:36 *For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

At the end of age, in order to erase all traces of sin, there will be a destruction of the earth (Rev 21:1). The earth will vanish like smoke (Is 51:6). This will be so in order to bring forth a new a transformed world where Christ will live with His people. Choose to be one of those who will live with Christ.

*Prayer.*

Lord let me live a life of humble submission to You. Let all people, leaders of all nations turn to true repentance, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
