TURN TO TRUE REPENTANCE
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*TURN TO TRUE REPENTANCE.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Proverbs 18:17 *The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Never be hasty to judge or conclude a matter. When you are rightly judged, turn to true repentance.
*Scripture Treasure.*
The first to speak in court at times sounds right until the cross-examination begins.
Usually no court of law will hear one party barring the other, Prov 18:13.
This is the first step to equitable justice, ref Prov 18:17.
The second is found in Amos 5:24 *But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.*
Meaning that righteousness will flow abundantly in justice.
Many justice systems have lost dignity and respect because they had judged matters unjustifiably.
Many have even lost favors or helpers because they had been partial in judgment.
A man who tells his own side of the story can make, out of it, a good case for himself.
By his smoooth words, often accompanied with tears, he can whip up sympathy..
However when "his neighbour" or the other party to the matter "comes and search him" or better put when his neighbor" comes to bring forth his own explanation" and one competent cross examines the matter, sifts through the statement, one will find his claims are untenable or unacceptable.
In your judgment, do not cause others to stumble.
On the other hand, when you are rightly judged, do not *:...turn justice into bitterness and cast righteousness to the ground."*, Amos 5:7
Accepting true justice, will lead you to godly repentance.
Do what is just.
Turn to repentance today.
*Remorse corner.*
It is dangerous to refuse to do what is just.
*Call to Word action.*
Proverbs 21:7 *The violence of the wicked will sweep them away because they refuse to do what is just.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Amos 5:15 *Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.*
*Prayer.*
Lord help me to judge justly and when righteous judgment is metted on me, let me accept, turn to repentance in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
