Matthew 9:17 *Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.*

Our attachment to things of old is a cause for concern.
There are sayings that give support to the old friendship.. For example, old friends are the best friends, old friends are like gold, old friends are like wine, etc.
As good as old may appear to be, we must bear in mind that an old friend, for example, may have changed since you last saw him/her.
The Bible teaches more on forsaking old things. For example, old things are passed away 2 Cor 5:17, forget the former things things of old, Isaiah 48:16.
Also of noteworthy is going back on the old.
Jesus teaches that if you go after the old wine, you constantly have a taste of it, you will not abandon the old tradition and habit of men that would not allow you to recognize His teaching. You will always say, *"....The old is better."*
The new wine is the new life and new anointing. The old bottle is an old container, a body of old and sinful self.
For you to receive the new wine, you must change your old self
You can not put new wine in old bottles. If you do, the old bottle will not only stretch, it will just explode. Then, both the bottle and wine are lost. Therefore, new wine needs to be put into new bottles.
Do you want the new wine?
Your body and flesh must go through the changing phase into a Christian life of the new life.

God has placed in the believer a new nature or “new wine.”
Avoid the conflict between the old and the new. Remember, the old mind and body can not contain the new wine.
*Calll to Word action.*
The new wine is always in association with the move of God (Matt 9:17).
*The Christian clarion duty.
Change only occurs when change is present. Turn a new leaf for a new change to take place in your life.
*Prayer.*
Renew me, O Lord, for the new wine anointing. Purify my body so that the new wine will be preserved in me, in Jesus name.
