TITHES AND OFFERING.

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*TITHES AND OFFERING.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

2 Corinthians 9:10 *Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Seperate your seed from the money for food and other maintenance.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

There is no financial planner greater than God, He loves investment and profiting.

He does not like wastage, and He encourages good and profitable return on investment (ROI), Matt 25:14-30.

He gives earning power, which is the power to make wealth, Deut 8:18.

When God gives us earning power, He does expect we will be shrewd and prudent about it.

Paul differentiates how God wants us to plan our finances.

In 2 Cor 9:10, He mentions two things, which are:

First, *'.....he that ministereth seed to the sower...*

Second, also *'....both minister bread for your food,...*

This tells us that God provides for us seeds to sow and also money for food (or financial support for a person's living expenses).

The seed God ministers to the sower is entrusted to us for sowing. This category includes your tithes, offerings, First-fruits, and other givings.

We must separate these two each time we earn.

We must not mix the seed meant for sowing with the seed for bread for food.

When we do not sow what is meant for sowing and use it along with seed meant for food, we are cheating God.

We would be biting the hands that feed us. We will be taking what He had already arranged for Himself to ourselves.

This is why we work and work, yet we are never satisfied. In spite of this, we are still in need and want.

This is why Solomon asked a question in Eccl 3:9 *What profit hath he that worketh* *in that wherein he*

*laboureth?* In other words, *What does the worker gain from his struggles?*

We must ask

ourselves, 'What do we really get for all our hard work?"

We have to keep on working to cover an endless recurring financial obligation.

Life makes us live life as if one day it will not be gone.

Life makes us live life as if one day, what we lived or worked for will be claimed by us, but it may not be so. It may be claimed by another person after all, Eccl 2:19, 3:22.

Give unto God what belongs to God and give unto the Ceasers of this world what belongs to them.

God is a God of equity.

Treat Him as such.

*Remorse corner.*

God has not requested for more than He needs from you. Of a truth He has left at your disposal more than He had requested from you.

*Call to Word action.*

Matt 22: 21 *They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Do not eat your seed. Sow it,

*....and multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness;).*

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to sow my seed as a sower. Let me not eat my seed, but let me sow it and let it multiply, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
