*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*THERE WILL BE A BETTER END.*.....
*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Sam 1:10 ---►🔹 *And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.*🔹
*Insight and Highlight.*
Are you losing hope? Be assured, there will be a better end!
Romans 8:24 ---►🔹 *For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?*🔹
*Scripture Commentaries.*
We all hope for something. For example our future glory is built on hope, Rom 8:23---►🔹 *"...even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body"*.🔹
Also we are encouraged not to look so much at our present sufferings because there is a future glory ahead of us, Rom 8:18. We are saved by hope, Rom 8:24.
So hope is of essence in the life of a Christian.
Both faith and hope are expressly distinguished in 1 Cor 13:13. If we are to go by the order, faith becomes primary while hope is secondary. Hope sets visions vividly before us and helps us to strive and work towards our getting them while faith says you can have it though it is not yet in your hands.
Hannah had hope. She went to Shiloh every year. She was weeping because hope delayed makes the heart sick, but faith upheld her giving her the confidence in what she was hoping for.
All seemed hopeless despite her hope. The only potent weapon available to her was to do three things in one, namely:
First, to believe and hope even when there was no reason to hope.
Second, to have faith in God when it all appeared hopeless.
Third, though contrary to the hope she had, she believed in the hope by faith
This was what Abraham did. When he had lost hope of bearing, he resisted the hopelessness of his hope, hoping by faith in the word of God and His promise that he will be the father of nations; Romans 4:18 --'►🔹 *Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.*🔹
A strong factor to overcoming hopelessness is being fully persuaded that what God has promised He is able to do also.
*Remorse corner.*
Hope as a virtue does not make us ashamed but when delayed, we get depressed. We can rekindle our hope by refusing to give up on hoping.
*Call to Word action.*
Hebrews 6:19--'►🔹 *We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,*🔹
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Abraham firmly stood his faith upon hope. It was hope that was so strong within him when there were no strong reasons or grounds to continue to hope.
*Prayer*
Let me not give up on hope. Give me the hope that is built on faith, one strong enough in me to carry out and fulfill God's purpose in my life, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
