.*THERE ARE MEN OF GOD (8).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Matt 11:11-12

*Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.*

*And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Men of God do not act roles or characters. They are real.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

John was Jesus' forerunner. His role was to prepare the way for Jesus, Matt 3:3.

His role was his true character, Matt 3:4. He was not acting a role. He was not acting a character.

He performed his role and character as who he was and for who he was.

Jesus said John was who he was both in role and character.

Jesus said of John the Baptist

*For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.*, Matt 11:11.

Unlike actors who act roles that do not represent them, men of God do not act on roles.

Unlike actors who act characters, the characters of men of God are what they are and who they are in the Lord.

What they do for God is their life.

They are men of proven characters.

Though the world is a stage because strange things happen and you wonder or question if they are real. People behave, and you wonder if they are acting or for real. Men of God are real and can be absolute, resolute, and fearless in the midst of terror.

So also was Elijah at Mount Carmel, and so was John when he told Herod he could not marry Herodias, who was Herod's brother, Phillip's wife, Mk 6:18

Come what may, there are still men of God, proven, resilient, and not giving up as long as the Kingdom of God is on earth.

John the Baptist was one of them.

It was in his dispensation, as a forerunner, that the first mention that the Kingdom suffers violence and the violent man like him will take it by force.

Herod feared him, and he had so much respect for John that Herod protected him from Herodias, who wanted him killed, Mk 6:19-20.

They are not discouraged, nor do they throw away their confidence, Heb 10:35-36.

They are committed to destroying the power of Satan, and they will not be discouraged until Satanic powers are destroyed every day.

In the days of Jesus, there were contentions, revolts, and the siege in Gethsemane official sealed the journey to His crucifixion.

Jesus went to the cross to finalize and seal our redemption.

Men and women of God *".....through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.*

*And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:*

*They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;*

*(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.*, Heb 11: 33, 36-38.

In all of these, just like in Bible days, there are those who obtain or have obtained good records but did not live well, neither did they receive the promise, Heb 11:39.

This tells you how much pain and hardship men and women of God go through.

It is injustice and unfairness to criticize or run down men and women who serve God and prepare you for God's Kingdom.

Whether or not you do, God will not forget His own, and there are still men of God.

*Remorse corner.*

Men of God do not act roles or characters.. They are role models, 1 Cor 11:1.

*Call to Word action.*

Daniel 11:32 *And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Men of God do not act roles. They make roles happen. They do not act chacters. They are true characters.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to play my role and character in the true image and character of Jesus, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
