THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 10:10 *The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Only in Christ can we have life more abundantly here on earth.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Life has its many troubles, Matt 6:34.

Solomon says life under the sun is vanity upon vanity. He says hard earned labor

Eccl 2:11 *".... was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun..."*

A Christ filled life is assured of God's presence in times of his/her trouble, Ps 46:1.

A Christless life has woes, and it is a life where a person walks alone in times of trouble because God is not in it with him/her.

Life does not always give us what we deserve, but we can be sure Christ can give us all things, Rom 8:32.

As much as we know life under the sun can be vanity, we are still assured Christ can give us life more than life itself has to offer us, John 10:10.

We must crave a life with Christ.

It is the only way we can find contentment, 1 Tim 6:6.

In Solomon"s word, we can deduce that

the world is not enough.

Nothing can satisfy whatever longing one has in this world. Nothing in this world is ever sufficient to meet our needs.

The rich want to be richer, and the poor want to get rich. Both classes want to achieve so in all ways, and at all cost.

He says in Eccl 1:8 *".....yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches;..."*

He further says that in spite of the hardship or toil of business and labor, may entail

*All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.* Eccl 1:8.

We must be careful not to push ourselves more than we ought to do in this world.

lt has become a life where people are caught up in a fiercely competitive struggle for wealth or power.

Many innocent lives have either been lost or wasted by toxic leadership, relationships, competition, etc.

Do not leave God out, carry Him along, be watchful and prayerful.

Prov 27:20 *Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.*

Fix your eyes on Jesus. Eyes fixed on Jesus will ever be satisfied

Press forward, not stress, to achieve great strides.

*Remorse corner.*

Find contentment in God. The world can never be enough!

*Call to Word action.*

Eccl 5:10 *He who loves money is never satisfied by money, and he who loves wealth is never satisfied by income. This too is futile.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Eccl 2:10 *And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to find contentment in You, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
