Psalm 37:27-28: *Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.*

*For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Exd 20:5 *".....I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God is angry with the wicked everyday (Ps 7:11) because they do not have the fear of God in them, Eccl 8:13.

The wicked will suffer in their life time and so also their coming generations, if there will be any of them left, Exd 20:5, Prov 10:27.

There is a maxim among elders, which goes that "anyone who has children should abstain from wickedness". Anyone who is wicked is selfish and does not think of posterity or his children's future.

When God loves a people, Exd 20:6 says He will show mercy to thousands of their generations. *"....shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."*

However for those who hate Him, Exd 20:5 He says He *"....will visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation..."*

If you love your children and future generation, do good.

Your wickedness simply means you do not love God, yourself, your children and future generation to come.

God is giving you time to repent, change today.

There is nothing, either good or bad, that will not have its rewards, Gal 6:7, Rev 22:12.

Be saved today.

You may be getting away with deception, evil maneuvers, remember Prov 20:17

*Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with grave.*

You may be getting away with wealth gotten in a haste but remember Prov 13:11.

It is a wise saying that "let us do good today as if we will not see tomorrow".

We are to live carefully as if we will not see tomorrow.

Live wisely today as if it is your last; meaning nobody knows tomorrow.

*Remorse corner.*

Only your repentance could make Him forget your sins. Though He remembers, He will not be influenced by them because He will no longer see your sins but the blood of Christ.

*Call to Word action.*

If you fail to repent, God will remember your sins. He remembered the iniquity of the Amalekites.

1 Sam 15: 3  *Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Be not deceived when the wicked prospers. It is a matter of time. They will soon be destroyed, suddenly.

*Prayer.*

Lord put an end to the wicked in my life. Eliminate the descendants of the wicked,

in Jesus name.
