THE UNSTOPPABLE CHRISTIAN

*WISDOM FOR TODAY*

*THE UNSTOPPABLE CHRISTIAN.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Acts 12: 5 *Peter, therefore, was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Many things can stop a Christian from praying, but nothing can stop a Christian who prays.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The Apostle Paul, in his writing, tells us that there are forces that could stop, prevent, and separate a Christian from the love of God. A part of showing the love of God is praying to Him. This was why Paul wrote, mentioning those obstacles like

*"......death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,..."*

He further says none of these things *"shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord*, Rom 8:35-39.

The power of prayer and a tragic consequence of its lack is clearly seen in Acts 12:3. This verse tells us the Jews were not only pleased with the killing of James, the brother of John, but the church was silent in prayer. This may have been due to mostly the fear of gathering.

As a result of their lack of prayer, Herod took Peter.

They were discouraged to pray over the arrest, eventual killing of James, and to prevent further a dreadful repeat, but when they prayed, nothing could stop them from securing the release of Peter.

Their prayer must have accelerated the gruesome death of Herod, one of the most dreadful kings in the early church, Acts 12:21-23.

Herod's death opened the doors for the church growth, Acts 12:24.

The church response at Peter's imprisonment tells us that though death, persecution, etc. could prevent a Christian from praying, nothing can stop a Christian who prays.

Are you discouraged to pray?

Overcome your discouragement by praying!

Pray today, pray everyday, pray in your heart every moment.

God listens when we pray.

Pray!

*Remorse corner.*

Anytime you do not want to pray is the time you must pray.

*Call to Word action.*

Herod sought Peter in prison but could not find him there.

Prayer turns the table against the enemies.

Acts 12: 19 *And when Herod had sought for him and found him not, he examined the keepers and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

To refuse to pray is to open ourselves to a Satanic attack.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to pray and strengthen me in the place of prayer.Let my prayers to You receive transformative answers in Jesus name.

Good morning, all, and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you
