*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*THE PRINCE OF PEACE.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Isaiah 9:6 *For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
The Prince of Peace, Jesus, does not promise life without storms, but He promises peace in the midst of life's storms..
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Jesus was not born just to and for Joseph and Mary alone. He was born for us all. Matt 1:21 tells us that He was born to save His people from their sins. John 3:16 tells us that out of God's love for the whole world, He gave us Jesus.
Jesus is our peace, Eph 2:14.
However, there is another prince. He is the devil.
Paul tells us that it is the pattern of the world for people to walk into this spirit. He says that before we were delivered from him, we used to walk *".....according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air...."*
Satan is *....the prince of the power of the air,..."* and it is *"....the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:*, Eph 2:2.
So when you call yourself a son of a prince we will know which one by whether you walk according to the course/pattern of this world as set by the devil or whether you walk with the Prince that brings calm in the midst of the storms.
Satan, as the prince of the power of the air, works in the atmosphere we find ourselves. This is why it should not be surprising to see so much evil than good every day in the world we live in today.
Social media, most news, audio, written, and visual industries thrive on bad news rather than good.
Sensualities are more appealing to people and are used to provoke more attention than morals. Death and catastrophic tolls are more than safety tolls.
These are hidden yet most apparent works of Satan.
Sin is legalized. The child of God struggles and strives to live perfect in this environment of sin, 1 John 3:8a
John tells us about Jesus saying, *....For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."* 1 John 3:8b
Amongst the many differences between the Prince of Peace, Jesus, and the prince of the power of the air, the devil, is that Jesus was given to us by God to pacify God's anger over sin. Rom 3:25, 5:6, 10, 1 John 2:2
The devil can never be pacified. There is no mercy with or from the devil. He is a thief of joy. He can not give what he does not have, John 10:10.
Are you in a storm? The Prince of Peace is peace in the midst of storm.
Are you in a difficult situation?
Only Jesus has all power and authority, Matt 28:18.
The Prince of Peace does not depart you in the midst of your storms, He gives you peace and help in the midst of your storm, Ps 47:1, Matt 8: 23-27, Mk 4:35-41, Lk 8:22-25.
*Remorse corner.*
The Prince of Peace is long forbearing, and by your soft and humble repentance, you can pacify His anger.
*Call to Word action.*
Prov 25:15 *By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
The Prince of Peace is the author of peace. The prince of the power of the air is subject to the Author of the universe, the Creator of the air, the devil operates, Phillpns 2:9-11, Col 2:10
*Prayer.*
Lord, help give me the Prince of Peace in the midst of life's storms in Jesus name.
Good morning, all, and be blessed as you come into His presence today.
God bless you.
