*THE PRAYERS GOD ANSWERS.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Ps 20:6-9
*Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.*
*Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.*
*They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.*
*Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Without prayer, God may not; without a man to pray God may not answer.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
James tells us that God hears the righteous. While the act of praying remains one of the most powerful weapons of the Christians' spiritual warfare against Satan, the one who prays plays a vital role in whether or not the prayer is answered.
James 5:16 *".......The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.*
Prayer is not an allcomers affair but a righteous takes all affair.
Everybody hopes or claims to pray, but not everyone is heard in prayer.
Even as the righteous pray, intensity and sincere persistence are required.
The kingdom is not for those who seldomly pray. Prayer is not a pastime but a spiritual duty of someone who lives in a right standing with God, seeking to do His will.
When the righteous pray, spiritual power is released from the divine power in them.
When the righteous pray significant results and spiritual breakthroughs are produced.
During the prayer for Peter in the upper room, the Lord sent His angel to deliver him *".....out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.* Peter thought it was a vision but it was real, Acts 12:3-19.
In Gen 18 God revealed His plan to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham just as He still reveals His plans to His faithfuls today though He can act independently.
So what God often decides to do could involve a dialogue between God and His righteous ones, ref Psalm 103:7.
The Bible shows God often reveals plans to faithful individuals like Abraham, suggesting a deep, trusting relationship between them.
The dialogue involves sharing information, though He could act independently and expects obedience from the righteous. God does this attimes in significant matters, not just constant consultation.
Abraham petitioned God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah and God agrees to spare the city for 45, then 40, 30, 20, and, 10 if He found 10 righteous individuals.
In Gen 19, God eventually destroyed the city because not even ten righteous people (besides Lot's family) were found, Gen 18:24-32.
There may be others who prayed, but God was looking only for the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah.
God's dialogue with the righteous futher illustrates righteousness/holiness faithful communion through prayers.
Holiness remain a great virtue God has given to man in order to have access to Him.
Only unto the righteous are given the power behind answered prayers.
All heaven is open to a man who prays and there is nothing impossible for a righteous man who earnestly pray
James was teaching us that without these righteous, God will not answer prayers and with them, God will!
Are you righteous?
*Remorse corner.*
Not all who pray or claim to pray are righteous and not all who pray are considered righteous before God.
*Call to Word action.*
Prayer may be for everyone but not everyone prays the prayer that God answers.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
The prayer God answers is the prayer of the righteous.
*Prayer.*
Lord, let me pray as a righteous person. Hear me as l pray in Jesus name.
Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence.
God bless you.
Shalom.
