*THE POWER OF THE TRUTH.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
John 8:32 *And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Truth is absolute!
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Jesus teaches us that the only way to freedom is saying and knowing the truth.
The world has become chaotic because almost everyone has his definition of what truth is.
Whatever works for people becomes their truth about success and life.
In this world, the abundance of what a man possesses is a standard and measure of his life and successes and this is true of life.
Everyone acclaimed as industry giants, guru, and richest people in the world are measured by their possessions.
Jesus however says in Luke 12:15 *And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.*
While it is 'a truth' that your earthly possession will or may see you through life but it is 'the truth' that all these will end up here and will not take you any further than this earth but having and adding Jesus to this will give you eternal value and rest with Christ.
There are important things we need to know about the truth.
First is that 'the truth' is absolute.
For example 1+1=2. There are no two ways about it.
Everyone born was born through a woman regardless of any scientific expression, ref Jer 1:9, John 16:21. It is true for all people, at all times, and in all situations.
Second, the truth is objective.
This is because it is based on reality and is universally true regardless of opinion.
It is an objective reality that is fixed and unchanging.
We came into this world finding the world the way it has always been.
Whether or not people believe it, God created it and all that is in it, Gen 1.
It is an established truth that everyone came into this world by a consummated union of a man and a woman, ref 1 Sam 1:19, Job 10:10-11, Lk 1:34, John 1:13
This truth is true regardless of individual beliefs, opinions, or perspectives. It is based on observable, verifiable reality and is independent and regardless of any single person's or personal opinions, feelings or biases.
Third, given these two expressions of truth, truth can also be subjective to some people
People tell 'a truth' based on their personal experiences.
Some people do not see God as declared in His personal will for mankind according to the Bible.
They do not believe in God. This is because what works for them is their 'God'.
Some worship gods as their 'God'.
God has become artificial to idolaters.
In Phillipians 3: 18-19 says about some *"....enemies of the cross of Christ:..."*
*Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly,......"*
Some people do not see Jesus as the Son of God nor the way to God.
This people see themselves as true but
the danger however is that their truth about their personal experiences, or beliefs is not the truth to others and to the living God.
So this truth which is subjective is not divinely and universally applicable to everyone.
Any truth that is subjective is only true to the individual but is not true for everyone.
Fourth, the truth is not relative.
Truth does not depend on anyone's opinion.
Whether non-believers atheist etc do not believe in God and Christ as His Son, will not change the truth of who God is nor will it diminish God.
God remains who He is and has always been and forever will be regardless of anybody's view or opinion.
Truth is powerful!
Nothing can change the truth!
*Remorse corner.*
Nothing can change the truth.
*Call to Word action.*
2 Cor 13:8 *For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Jesus is the truth!.
There is power in the truth. His truth is absolute!
His truth is objective. We can see the *".....heavens the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;"* Ps 8:3. Whether or not believe Him, He remains God!
*Prayer.*
Lord help me and let me believe You as the truth, never to doubt or waiver, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
